Terms & Conditions - Please read carefully
• Check-in time – 2pm • Check-out time – 10:00am
• Our apartments are self-catering and are fully serviced before your arrival. For stays longer than 10 or more days, a complimentary service is provided after the first week then weekly thereafter. Daily housekeeping services are not available.
• All linen and bath towels included in tariff. Please bring your own beach towels.
MAXIMUM GUESTS PER APARTMENT
• Maximum 2 persons per 1 Bedroom Apartment
• Maximum 4 persons per 2 Bedroom Apartment
• Maximum 6 persons per 3 Bedroom Apartment
DEPOSIT POLICY & CANCELLATION
• Deposit: A deposit will be charged as prepayment of the cost of the first night after reservation.
• Free Cancellation Period: The guest can cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. In this case, the deposit will be refunded.
• Cancellation within 30 Days of Arrival: If the guest cancels within 30 days of arrival, the deposit is non-refundable. However, if Sandcastle Apartments can re-let the apartment for the entirety of the original booking dates, the deposit will be offered as a credit toward a future stay at Sandcastle Apartments. This credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation and is subject to availability.
• Notification of Re-letting: If the apartment is re-let, Sandcastle Apartments will notify the guest via email or phone call if successful.
• No-Shows: In the event of a no-show, the deposit will be forfeited.
• Balance Paid on Arrival: Balance of account will be charged to the credit card on day of arrival
• While we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, we are unable to offer refunds for early departures after a guest has checked in. The full booking amount will be retained.
BUILDING ENVIRONMENT AND NOISE POLICY
Sandcastle Apartments is a mixed-use building that includes both short-term rental apartments and permanent residential units. To ensure a comfortable environment for all residents, we maintain a strict policy regarding noise levels and disruptive behaviour.
• No Parties or Gatherings: Parties, large gatherings, or any event that may cause excessive noise or disturbance to other residents are strictly prohibited within the apartments or common areas of the building.
• Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are in effect from 10pm to 8am daily. During these hours, guests are expected to minimize noise and refrain from activities that could disturb other residents.
• Noise Complaints and Penalties: Any noise complaints received by management during your stay may result in the following:
• First Complaint: A warning will be issued.
• Subsequent Complaint: A charge of $250.00 will be applied to your credit card on file.
• Eviction: In the event of repeated noise complaints or severe disturbance, you will be asked to leave the property immediately without refund of any remaining rental fees.
We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a peaceful and respectful environment for all members of our community.
ARRIVAL INFORMATION
Once Housekeeping and Maintenance have finished in your apartment, you are welcome to check in. We will contact you to inform you as soon as your apartment is ready for you on arrival day if it is ready before 2pm check in time. We will contact you on your arrival day, to update you on the progress of your apartment and as soon as it is ready for you, we will call or text you with your arrival information.
SMOKING/VAPING POLICY
• Sandcastle Apartments is a strictly NON-SMOKING building. This includes all apartments, hallways, common areas, and balconies/terraces.
• Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated outdoor smoking areas, if any, which will be identified upon check-in.
• Violation Fee: A cleaning and deodorising fee will be charged to your credit card if there is evidence of smoking or vaping in your apartment or on your balcony/terrace. This fee covers the cost of professional cleaning and air purification to remove smoke odours and residue. The fee will be determined by the severity of the violation.
• Evidence of Smoking/Vaping: Evidence of smoking or vaping includes but is not limited to the smell of smoke, cigarette butts, ash, or vaping devices found in the apartment or on the balcony.
• Reporting: Guests are encouraged to report any instances of smoking or vaping in non-designated areas to management immediately.
WEATHER CONDITIONS
All bookings are not subject to weather conditions. We cannot control the weather; therefore, there will be no refunds or part refunds or transfers due to weather conditions or for ANY OTHER REASON
BALCONY HOURS
After 10pm we ask all guests to come inside from the balconies and close the doors, so noise does not disturb other guests.
PROPERTY LOSS OR DAMAGE
Please be advised that Sandcastle Apartments does not accept any responsibility for any personal belongings or items either inside the individual apartments or anywhere within the building – this also includes all motor vehicles (any incident/accident or damage to any motor vehicle is not covered by Sandcastle Apartments but falls fully under the
individuals own personal insurance for their motor vehicles.) While we strive for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, guests are responsible for any damage to the apartment or its contents caused by them or their visitors, beyond reasonable wear and tear. Sandcastle Apartments reserves the right to charge the guest for the cost of repairs or replacement.
PHOTOGRAPHIC IDENTIFICATION
When you check-in you will be asked to provide photographic identification e.g., driver's license, passport.
If you are unable to provide such identification your booking may be cancelled, and you may be liable to pay Sandcastle Apartments an amount equal to the full booking amount plus any other costs incurred by Sandcastle Apartments in connection with the booking. Accordingly, any pre-payment you have made in relation to the booking will be forfeited to Sandcastle Apartments under this term.
PRICING AND QUOTES
Any quote given is an estimate only of price and the price will only be confirmed once a payment is made on the booking and you receive written advice from Sandcastle Apartments that the payment has been received, and the booking has been confirmed.
Any confirmed price is subject to change if:
• a payment which is due on a booking is not received by Sandcastle Apartments by the date the payment is due; or
• there is a change in or imposition of a government charge, tax or levy which entitles or necessitates Sandcastle Apartments changing the price of your booking.
• any details relating to your booking are amended, for example your dates of stay, your room type or the number of persons staying under your booking.
PAYMENTS
If payment is not made for your booking by the time shown in the conditions displayed at the time of booking, then you authorize Sandcastle Apartments to charge the credit card used to confirm your booking be charged for the outstanding amount of your booking. 3% charge for AMEX payments, No charge for Visa or Mastercard.
DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT
For all bookings, details of a valid credit card must be entered to confirm your booking.
Full payment must be received in accordance with the conditions for payment displayed at the time of booking (“Payment Date”). If payment is not made before the Payment Date, full payment (or the remaining portion if part payment has been made) will be charged and you authorize Sandcastle Apartments to charge, the credit card entered at the time of booking.
If any deposit or final payment is not received by the Payment Date, Sandcastle Apartments reserves the right to cancel the booking.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Sandcastle Apartments strongly recommends that at the time of booking you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover items including but not limited to, loss of booking amount through cancellation, loss or damage to personal baggage, loss of money and medical expenses.
UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult such as a parent, stepparent, guardian, or other adult who has parental rights and responsibilities for the under 18-year-old guest.
If a guest under the age of 18 is found to be unaccompanied by a responsible adult, Sandcastle Apartments reserves the right to immediately cancel the booking, and the full booking amount will be forfeited as per this clause.
All bookings made via Participating Websites or with Sandcastle Apartments directly are made subject to these terms and conditions and the person making the booking will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all persons who will be staying at the Sandcastle Apartments under the booking once any payment is made in relation to the booking.
